Special Council Meeting - Updates from Canadian Nuclear LaboratoriesCouncil has a combined meeting approach with Committee of the Whole and Regular Council meetings to be convened on the same evening, the first and third Tuesdays of the month commencing at 6:30 p.m.
Statutory Public meetings as required, would be convened on the first and third Wednesdays commencing at 6:30 p.m.
These meetings are open to the public.

Municipal Offices are closed on all Statutory Holidays and General Holidays.
Port Hope's Council Portal provides easy online access to agendas, minutes, by-laws, and meeting schedules in a user-friendly format.
Stay up to date with all Council proceedings by subscribing to the Council Portal and have agendas and minutes delivered by e-mail in real time.

Any member of the public may make a presentation to Council. This type of presentation is referred to as a delegation and normally takes place at a Committee of the Whole (COW) meeting (every second Tuesday at 6:30pm in Council Chambers).
The Code of Conduct provides rules and lists prohibitions for Council and to establish roles and responsibilities for Council and Senior Staff to promote accountability and transparency in Municipal Governance respecting: business relations, conduct at meetings, conduct of a political nature, conduct respecting staff, conducting respecting representing the Municipality, protection of confidential information, discreditable conduct, employment of relatives, failure to adhere to Council policies and procedures, receipt of gifts and benefits, and use of Municipal property.
