Councillor Jeff Lees

Chair - Parks, Recreation & Culture Committee

First elected in 1997 at age 32, Jeff was the youngest Councillor ever elected in Port Hope. He has served on the Parks, Recreation & Culture, Protection to Persons & Property, and Works & Engineering Committees as well as the Police Services Board, and from 2006 to 2010 served as Deputy Mayor. Jeff is looking forward to another term on Council and Chairing the Parks, Recreation and Culture Committee.

With a longstanding career in manufacturing Jeff has held positions in automotive retailing, land development and shipping/receiving and warehousing and is currently working as Shipping/Receiving Warehouse Manager at Knight's Apple Den in Colborne. As a courtesy to his employer, Jeff requests no Council-related calls at work.

Jeff served as a Big Brother and coach for both Port Hope minor hockey and baseball for many years and is currently an active 25-year member of the Kinsmen Club of Port Hope, and member of the Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny Committee. He and his wife Laurie are the proud parents of son Garnet.
