councillor jeff lees - ward I
Chair - Public Works Committee
Jeff Lees was first elected to Council in 1997 and has served on the Parks, Recreation and Culture Committee, Waterfront and Trail Committee, and the Police Services Board. He was appointed Deputy Mayor and Chair of the Protection to Persons and Property Committee from 2006 to 2010 and is looking forward to another term on Council.
With a longstanding career in manufacturing Jeff has held positions in automotive retailing, land development and shipping/receiving at Columbus-McKinnon for 12 years. He is currently Warehouse Manager at Protoplast, in Cobourg. As a courtesy to his employer, Jeff requests no Council-related calls at work.
Jeff also serves as a Big Brother, is an active member of the Kinsmen Club of Port Hope and coaches both hockey and baseball. He and his wife Laurie are the proud parents of a teenage son, Garnet, who will begin college in Lindsay in 2011.
