Deputy Mayor Jeff Lees - Ward 1

Chair, Protection of Persons and Property Committee

Jeff Lees is a fourth-generation resident of Port Hope. Elected to Council in 1997, Jeff has served as Deputy Mayor since 2006, is chair of the Protection to Persons Property Committee and has served on the Parks, Recreation Culture Committee, Waterfront and Trail Committee, and the Police Services Board.

With a career in manufacturing Jeff has held positions in automotive retailing, land development and in shipping/receiving at Columbus-McKinnon for 12 years. He is currently Warehouse Manager at Protoplast, in Northumberland County. As a courtesy to his employer, Jeff requests no Council-related calls at work.

Deputy Mayor Lees also serves as a Big Brother, active member of the Kinsmen Club of Port Hope and coaches both hockey and baseball. He and his wife, Laurie, are the proud parents of a teenage son, Garnet, who plays goalie for the local Ontario Minor Hockey Association rep team.
