The Role of the Fire Emergency Services Department
As with all other Fire Departments in the province, the Municipality of Port Hope is mandated by the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997 - O. Reg. 388/97 to provide public education programs with respect to fire safety and to provide fire protection appropriate to the municipality's needs.
The department's main focus continues to be the protection of lives and property of our citizens, by providing a timely response to all emergencies within our municipality. If you have any questions, are looking for specific information regarding fire safety in your residence, or would like a fire prevention presentation delivered to your group, please don't hesitate to contact me at the Fire Department Main Administrative Office, Monday to Friday during regular business hours.
