The Role of the Fire and Emergency Services Department - www.porthopefire.ca
As with all other fire services in the province, the Municipality of Port Hope is mandated by the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997 - O. Reg. 388/97 to provide public education programs with respect to fire safety and to provide fire protection appropriate to the Municipality's needs.
The department's main focus continues to be the protection of lives and property of our citizens, by providing a timely response to all emergencies within our Municipality.
As part of our ongoing commitment to public education, we are pleased to provide a dedicated Fire and Emergency Services website at www.porthopefire.ca.
