Mayor Linda Thompson
Linda Thompson is a pragmatic business person with over 20 years of successful business experience applied in plant operations, corporate materials, operations and consulting management.
First elected to Council in 2000, she has served as Mayor since 2006. Linda is actively involved in the community. She has volunteered for many community groups and events; serving on School Council, and supporting the disabled. Linda has also served as a Director of the Ontario Maple Syrup Association, a Church Elder and a Matron in the Eastern Star.
Mayor Thompson has lived in the Municipality of Port Hope since 1987, residing on Gilmour Road with her husband, Barry Thompson. Linda and Barry have two children, Elizabeth and William, who attend Port Hope High School.
