Corporate Strategic Plan
Port Hope Corporate Strategic Plan 2009 (PDF)In June 2007, Council adopted the Municipality of Port Hope Corporate Strategic Plan with the objective of reviewing the plan on an annual basis.
In November 2008, Council and Department Heads participated in a review exercise, creating terms of reference for each Goal Area, revising Goal Areas to more accurately reflect Municipal priorities and updating the Ongoing Projects and Recent Accomplishments.
The resulting document was reviewed by Council and Department Heads and in March 2009, the draft Corporate Strategic Plan 2009 was made available for public review and comment and circulated to all Municipal Committees and organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce and HBIA.
Comments were received from 15 individuals/committees, reviewed by the Mayor and CAO and incorporated, where considered appropriate into the plan and subsequently approved by Council. The updated plan includes terms of reference to clearly define each Goal Area, incorporates new projects and priorities and allowed for public input.
The attached Corporate Strategic Plan 2009 was approved and adopted on June 2, 2009, will be published on the website, circulated to the appropriate internal and external contacts and made available at Town Hall and the Canton Municipal office.
