Taxi Cab /Limousine Licenses
A taxi cab isany motor vehicle seating seven passengers or less, used for hire to transport the general public. Owners are required under By-law #06-2002, as amendedto renew the license for each taxicab annually submitting proof of insurance, a letter of vehicle certification and the required feefor each car. Drivers of taxicabs are licensed annually, as well at arequired fee per driver.
Taxi fares are regulated by the Port HopeMunicipal Council and amended from time to time.
