Not only does Port Hope offer an in-town transit system, but out of area locations are easily accessible through VIA Rail and the six lane Hwy 401.
Rich in 19th century character, Port Hope is home to over 270 heritage designated buildings, more per capital than anywhere else in Canada. Port Hope's celebrated Heritage downtown was judged "Best Preserved Main Street in Ontario," in TVO's Main Street Competition.
