The Joint Animal Control Services program DOES NOT handle urban wildlife calls such as skunks, raccoons, bats. Residents are urged to contact a local pest control company who may or may not operate on a fee for service basis. Consult your local yellow pages for "Pest Control".

Coyotes

Coyotes have been sighted in the urban area of the Municipality of Port Hope, primarily within the boundaries of:Victoria Street to the west, Jocelyn Street to the north, Cavan Street to the east and Highland Drive to the south

A letter to residents of the area has been sent with further details; the Ministry of Natural Resources' article, "Coyotes in the Community" provides further information.
