The largest sources of municipal revenue are property taxes, user fees, and transfers from other levels of government. We also raise smaller amounts of revenue from other sources, including permits, fines, and development charges. We provide small amounts of funding through our Community Grant and Donation programs. Funding and Grants
The existing Community Grants and Donations Policy is transitioning to a new Community Strategic Initiatives Funding Program. This initiative is designed to optimize the allocation of taxpayer funds, ensuring they align with and support strategic municipal priorities and foster future innovation. Program funding details, including information about how to submit a proposal for funding will be available on this webpage in early 2026.
