NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING - DOWNTOWN PORT HOPE COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PLAN

The Municipality of Port Hope has retained RCI Consulting to prepare a Community Improvement Plan (CIP) for Downtown Port Hope. A CIP is a planning and economic development framework that may include financial incentive programs designed to stimulate private sector investment and development.

The first step in the Downtown CIP process was completed in November of last year when the consultant produced a Community Improvement Needs Study for the Downtown.

The consultant has now completed work on the preliminary Community Improvement Project Area (CIPA) and the Preliminary Incentive Programs to be considered for inclusion in the Downtown CIP. The Municipality will host a Public Meeting on Tuesday November 21, 2017. This public meeting will include a project update from the consultant, and a presentation on the preliminary CIPA and incentive programs. The presentation will be followed by a break-out into small discussion groups where your thoughts on the preliminary CIPA and incentive programs will be discussed.

All business and property owners and employees in the Downtown and the general public are invited to attend. The Public Meeting will be held on:

Date: Tuesday November 21, 2017
Time: 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Location: Town Hall - Council Chambers
