Public Input Key to Three-Year Business Plan

(March 14, 2017) The Port Hope Police Services Board (PHPSB) is asking urban residents for approximately five to ten minutes of their time to complete an anonymous online survey with respect to community satisfaction with the Port Hope Police Service (PHPS).

“Every three years, the PHPSB is required to prepare a business plan that outlines how the Port Hope Police Service will provide adequate and effective police services for the urban portion of Port Hope”, said Jeff Gilmer, Chair of the PHPSB. “Rural residents are policed by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), which produces its own action plans province-wide. Details of community consultation related to the OPP action plan will be provided by the OPP at a later date.”

The survey will be open for responses from March 15 – 31 and can be accessed from any of the following websites:

For those who don’t have access to a computer and would like to complete a paper survey, please contact the Board Administrator at (905) 885-8123, ext. 245.

Input from the community and guidance from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services will assist the PHPSB in developing a business plan that outlines performance objectives and indicators for 2018 - 2020.
