Temporary Closure of the Lake Street Parking Lot

Residents are advised that the parking lot and the Waterfront Trail trailhead on Lake Street, will be closed from December 14 to 22, weather permitting. This closure is to prepare the area around the Chemtron Lagoon site, which is being remediated as part of the Port Hope Area Initiative.
Waterfront Trail access is still available on Lake Street to the south of the parking area. Alternative parking is available at Gage’s Creek (beyond 100 Lake Street) and in the parking stalls at the corner of Hope...
Temporary Closure of the Town Park Recreation Centre

Residents are advised that the Town Park Recreation Centre will be closed for general access and inquiries December 6, 7, and 8, re-opening on December 9, 2022. This closure will accommodate gas lines, water, and electrical tie-ins as part of the Town Park Recreation Centre Expansion project.

Members of the community are invited to attend the Seniors Information and Active Living Fair on Thursday, November 24, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Town Park Recreation Centre.
Residents are invited to interact with the exhibitors, observe demonstrations, and attend seminars. The fair is free for the public to attend and is funded by The Older Adults Centres' Association of Ontario (OACAO) and the Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility.
