On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, the Ontario Government declared a state of emergency and issued a Stay-at-Home Order as a result of the increase in COVID-19 infections provincially and to prevent the further spread of the virus. Public safety officials in the Municipality of Port Hope announce that Rave Mobile Emergency Alert is now available to all residents, replacing the previous Rapid Notify system.
Rave Mobile is a free service that allows individuals to receive notifications sent from municipal authorities to stay informed of potentially hazardous situations involving weather, traffic, and other emergencies.

Caroline Street Rink

The Caroline Street outdoor rink relies on mother nature to provide consistent cold weather in order to make ice. The rink does not have a refrigeration system. Our practice is to begin ice making when long range weather forecasts indicate daytime highs of minus eight degrees Celsius or colder for a period of five days or greater.
