Canada Day Feedback Survey

The Municipality of Port Hope is proud to host the annual Canada Day Celebration for residents and visitors each year. Canada Day is our homegrown festival, highlighted by the parade, community gathering in the park, fireworks finale, and many other great activities.
As we reflect on the success of the 2023 celebration, and begin planning the 2024 event experience, we want to hear from the community.

Transit Route A Re-route

Update 7/18/2023:
All affected stops are now open and Transit Route A is travelling the standard route.
Residents are advised that Transit Route A will be re-routed due to a road closure on Highland Drive. Stops affected run along Cavan Street (A24, A25, and A26 will not be in service). This closure is anticipated to last until Friday, July 14.

Special Council Meeting - July 11, 2023

A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.
At the meeting, Council will proceed into a closed session, in accordance with the Municipal Act (section 239) to address several time-sensitive matters, including:
- CAO Recruitment - Section 239(2)(b) and Section 239(2)(d)
- A confidential employee matter - Section 239(2)(b)
- Surplus municipal property - Section 239(2)(c)
