Municipality of Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services is reminding residents to register with the Rave Mobile Emergency Alert system. Rave Mobile is a free service that allows individuals to receive notifications sent from municipal authorities to stay informed of potentially hazardous situations involving weather, traffic, and other emergencies.

Winter Recreation – Session 2

Registration of our Winter 2 recreation programs is underway until February 16, 2022. You can register online, over the phone or in person for fitness classes, children’s programs and more. For detailed registration information, visit our registration page. Please note: there is no aquatics registration in this session.

Council to Consider Purchase of 1300 Acres in Wesleyville

A purchase agreement to buy more than 1300 acres of land is going forward for consideration to the Municipality of Port Hope Council on Tuesday, February 15, following tonight’s Committee of the Whole meeting. The lands, currently owned by Ontario Power Generation (OPG), are in the Wesleyville area.

Fire Master Plan Consultation

We are in the process of developing a Fire Master Plan. This new plan will help identify areas to manage risk and the overall operations of the department. This includes:
- Locations of the Fire Stations
- The vehicle and equipment that the department maintains
- The level of service approved by Council
