Draft Vision Review for the Waterfront and Riverwalk Master Plan

We have established a vision for the draft Waterfront and Riverwalk Master Plan. This vision has been guided by feedback from our community through extensive engagement activities beginning in January 2022.

West Beach Closed for Swimming

Update July 11:
HKPR District Health Unit has advised that the water samples from West Beach are normal, and the beach is open for swimming.
After a standard test of the water at our local beaches, the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit has advised the Municipality of Port Hope to close the West Beach for swimming, due to an increase in E. coli bacteria levels. The Beach remains open for walking, hiking, etc.

Residents are advised that the Public Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, July 6, 2022, for a development proposed at 3852 Ganaraska Road in Garden Hill is cancelled. Following agency circulation, additional information is expected to be received on the application, which will be included in the future meeting materials.
