Ward System
The Municipality of Port Hope has two Wards: Ward 1 (also known as the Urban Area) and Ward 2 (also known as the Rural Area).
Which ward do I live in?
Port Hope has two ward designations: Ward 1, which encompasses the urban area and Ward 2, the rural area. Ward 1 extends from Hamilton Rd in the east, west to the Welcome 401 off-ramp, and bounded by the 401 in the north and Lake Ontario to the south. Ward 1 is comprised of what was previously the Town of Port Hope, before the amalgamation in 2001. Ward 2 extends from the 401 in the south to Challice/Eagleson 1st Line Rd in the north. County Rd 28 and Eastown Line comprise the eastern and western boundaries, respectively. Ward 2 is set by the former Township of Hope's municipal boundaries.
