This week is dedicated to raising awareness about drowning prevention and promoting water safety practices.

This year's theme is "Safer Together":

  • Caregivers staying within arm's reach of young children,
  • Swimming where lifeguards are present,
  • Avoiding swimming or boating alone.

Learn more about Drowning Prevention Week on the Lifesaving Society's website.

World Drowning Prevention Day is recognized on July 25. To learn more about the World Drowning Prevention Day, visit their website.
