If you fail to comply with the Municipality of Port Hope's parking regulations, you may receive a parking ticket. 

If you receive a parking ticket, you can:

  • Pay your fine
  • Request a Parking Ticket Review
  • Take the trial option

Paying your parking ticket

choose one of the following options. Review the parking ticket payment options below. We accept cash, debit, cheque or money order. Online payments by credit card accepted through HotSpot Parking. Payment must be received within 15 days of the date issued. 

Online

To pay online by credit card, scan the QR code on the back of your parking ticket or visit the Municipality of Port Hope's HotSpot Ticket Dashboard.

Mail

You can mail a cheque or money order payment to:

Please note: If you are paying by cheque or money order, please write the number of your parking infraction (found on the ticket) on the front of your cheque or money order. Make cheques payable to Municipality of Port Hope. Do not send cash in the mail. 

Deposit box

You can pay a parking ticket by dropping your payment off to one of the deposit parking fine boxes located at:

  • 113 Walton St.
  • 46 Walton St.
  • 15 Ontario St.
  • 17 Queen St.
  • 58 Queen St.

Please note: You can make the payment by cash, cheque or money order. If you are paying by cheque or money order, please write the number of your parking infraction (found on the ticket) on the front of your cheque or money order. Make cheques payable to Municipality of Port Hope.

In person

Pay your parking ticket in person at:

  • 245 Ontario Street – Fire Administration Office
  • You can pay by cash, debit, cheque or money order when paying in person.

Please note: If you are paying by cheque or money order, please write the number of your parking infraction (found on the ticket) on the front of your cheque or money order. Make cheques payable to Municipality of Port Hope.

Parking Ticket Review

You can request a Parking Ticket Review where specific circumstances may have existed at the time the ticket was issued. All other circumstances or explanations must be processed by taking the trial option. Requests must be received within 5 business days from the date of the ticket. A hard copy version of the form is available at the Fire Administration Office, located at 245 Ontario Street, Port Hope. For more information about having your parking ticket reviewed, contact us by phone at 905-753-2230 or by email. 

Request a Parking Ticket Review

If you don't pay a parking ticket on time, you may receive fees and court costs. You will also not be able to renew your Ontario Vehicle Permit until you pay the fine.
