Canada Day Activity Sponsorship Options

This year’s program of activities is designed to reach various community segments, from youth to older adults. Hosted in our downtown core, this year’s event programming will engage friends, neighbours and visitors. Activity sponsorship is a high-impact opportunity that creates engagement for all.

Recognition possibilities for all the below listed activity sponsorships include:

Bouncy Castle $800

Present bouncy castles in Memorial Park with this high-energy sponsorship opportunity. Bouncy Castles will be signed and staffed and are a favourite amenity for families.

Mini Putt $400

Locally designed and built nine-hole mini putt will be set up from event start to dusk creating a festival feeling in Memorial Park.

Entertainment Sponsor $600 (4 available)

Showcase live and local talent from the bandshell at the celebration of the summer. Your sponsorship will also provide backstage refreshments for the performers and mention from the emcee.

Wagon Rides $700

Wagon rides will transport event attendees around downtown. Free wagon rides for 3 hours.

Outdoor Movie $500 (3 available)

A 25ft inflatable screen will transform Memorial Park into an intimate outdoor theatre. The Movie in the Park will take place on June 30 as a kick-off to our Canada Day event.

Fireworks Sponsor $5000 (2 available)

July 1 will bring a fireworks show for the memory books! Fireworks can be viewed from a variety of locations around town, creating a wide reach for this dynamic and popular program component.

Recognition Program:

• Acknowledgement on digital screens at MPH facilities throughout July
• Dedicated Social Media post on Municipal facebook page
• + All activity sponsor recognition opportunities 

Canada Day Media Sponsorship Options

Radio sponsor $900

Radio ads to encourage the community to explore the Canada Day Celebration itinerary.

Recognition Program:

• Radio ad presenting sponsor
• Sponsor highlighted in radio ad campaign

Event Mailer $3500

The Municipality of Port Hope will design and distribute a two-sided event flyer to promote the event programming and feature the sponsor business to Port Hope residents.

Recognition Program:

• Event Flyer presenting sponsor (business ad supplied by sponsors)
• Flyers distributed to ~ 7,000 Port Hope households
• + All activity sponsor recognition opportunities 

Donations 

Donations to the Canada Day event will be gladly accepted and put towards overall production costs. Donation receipts can be issued $100 and over. 

Arts Festival Activity Sponsorship Options

This year’s program of activities is designed to reach various community segments, from youth to older adults. Hosted in our downtown core, this year’s event programming will engage artists, playwrights, local organizations, art lovers, as well as a wide assortment of residents and visitors. Activity sponsorship is a high-impact opportunity that creates meaningful engagement.

Recognition possibilities for all the below listed activity sponsorships:

• Activation opportunities (staff on site, giveaways, displays, samples, swag)

Carnival Games $400

Locally designed and built carnival games will be set up in the event grounds to create a fun activity zone. 

Wagon Rides $700

Free wagon rides will be offered during the Festival that will transport riders around the downtown area.

Songwriters Workshop $500

This new program component will be hosted by local songwriter and will invite new and experienced songwriters to come together to share work and explore ideas to keep the creativity flowing.

Sound Stage $600

Showcase live and local talent from the bandshell as we kick off the festival program. Your sponsorship will provide backstage refreshments for the performers and acknowledgement from the emcee. 

10-Minute Plays $500 (per play)

Support the 10-Minute Play Series by sponsoring the production of original plays throughout downtown. 14 plays are being written specifically for this Festival and will expose audiences to live theatre in an accessible outdoor setting. Sponsorship options for individual plays or the entire series. 

Patron of the Arts $500

This sponsorship provides hospitality for the performers and playwrights of the Festival, and the provision of indoors venues throughout downtown to support an inclement weather plan. 

Stilt Walkers $1500

These colourful characters unify the large festival footprint, and bring levity and whimsy throughout the day, not to mention great photo ops!

Movies in the Park Sponsorship details

All movies are hosted in Memorial Park, centrally located in downtown Port Hope. In the event of rain, movies will be moved indoors to the Fall Fair Centre and presented on the same evening. Both venues are accessible, and all movies will be shown with closed captioning.

Your sponsorship will put your brand in front of the audience, where community connections will be made while folks gather prior to the film start.

Movie Buff - $500 (per sponsor per movie)

We offer up to three sponsorships for each movie occurrence.

Candlelight Festival Activity Sponsorship Options

Indoor Warming Station $350

The Knights of Columbus Hall is the event warming station and indoor activity centre, where event attendees can take a break from the cool night air.

Warm Drinks $500

Candlelight Festival attendees are provided free hot apple cider, hot chocolate and treats. Last year we served over 700 cups in Memorial Park to participants following the Candlelight Walk.

Street Performances $2500

Sponsor one or more dates of Free Wagon Rides throughout the month of December in downtown Port Hope! This magical holiday tradition is always a favourite. Free wagon rides for 3 hours. 

Live DJ $500

Nothing gets a party started quite like a DJ! Sponsor the DJ who will bring only the best vibes to the downtown, encouraging people to move all around the district.

Fire Pit Sponsor $1000

Candlelight Walk Candles $1000

Bring light to the dark of winter by providing candles to illuminate the annual Candlelight Walk! This includes presenting both flame, and battery-powered candles, as well as wind guards.

Holiday Light Display Sponsorship

Lights will be strung up in Memorial Park, Rotary Park, and around town, creating a sense of enchantment throughout the dark of winter. Our goal is for every year’s light display to be bigger and brighter than the last, and this worthwhile contribution can make a huge difference.

Value of sponsorship begins at $250 and can grow as bright as you can imagine.
