Daytime Clean Air Centres in Port Hope

The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (HKPR) District Health Unit has advised that continued poor air quality is expected throughout the week due to the smoke from wildfires burning in Ontario and Quebec. A reminder that residents may visit any of the following facilities during operating hours as a space to find temporary relief from the air quality concerns.

Upcoming Filming Activities May 29 and 30, 2023

Filming continues in Port Hope for the production “Greetings from Fairview” taking place on Walton Street, Queen Street, Mill Street South, Augusta Street and in some residential areas. Residents can continue to expect temporary parking impacts, road closures and intermittent traffic stops that may cause delays. Pedestrian traffic and storefront access will be maintained.

Residents are advised that a Special Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.
The purpose of the meeting is for Council to proceed into a closed session, in accordance with the Municipal Act section 239(h), which identifies that meetings may be closed to the public to consider information explicitly supplied in confidence to the Municipality by another level of Government.
