Earth Day is April 22 and we’re hosting a community event to mark the occasion! Join us for tree planting at either the Port Hope Community Hub or Sweetheart Park.

Locations: Choose between the Port Hope Community Hub (5325 County Rd 10) or Sweetheart Park (7 Spicer St.).

Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny returns this weekend to the mighty Ganaraska River on Saturday, April 8, 2023. Please take note of the following impacts:

Residents are advised of the following road closures on Saturday, April 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to accommodate the annual race.

Special Council Meeting – March 13, 2023

A Special Council Meeting will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. via Zoom as part of the ongoing 2022 to 2026 Council Orientation. Due to limited availability of the presenters, this session will be held virtually. 

At the meeting, Council Members will receive training on open versus closed meetings and access/privacy considerations for municipal officials. The session is open to the public and a video will be posted to YouTube following the meeting.

Snow Clearing Reminders

A winter storm is expected in our area overnight. Here are some snow clearing reminders ahead of the winter weather: 

• There is no on-street parking permitted on snow routes from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. so that our snowplows can clear the streets safely. If possible, please avoid on-street parking during a snow event.
• Snow clearing of the sidewalk outside your home is your responsibility. Please do not shovel the snow onto the street as it creates a safety hazard and is also an Ontario Highway...
