Special Council Meeting - January 20, 2023

Residents are advised that Mayor Hankivsky has called a Special Meeting of Council to be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to allow for a strategic visioning session for the purpose of creating a results-focused Council-Staff team.

An external facilitator will guide the session that will provide all members of Council and the Senior Leadership Team an opportunity to begin the strategic planning process for the 2022-2026 term.

2023 Budget Consultation

Residents are advised that the 2023 proposed budget documents have been posted for public review and are open to receive comments from residents. Please provide any comments by 4:00 p.m. on February 1, 2023.

A presentation of the proposed budget will take place at the upcoming Special Meeting of Finance Committee on Tuesday, January 31, and continue on Thursday, February 2, 2023. Temporary Pool Closure

Update as of 6:00 p.m. - The pool is repaired and will be open as usual on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Thank you for your patience and understanding. 

Residents are advised that due to a mechanical issue, the 25m pool will be closed for the remainder of the night (Wednesday, January 11). Repairs are currently underway.

Some swim lessons have been moved to the therapy pool. Those participants in registered programs that will not run tonight have been contacted by staff.

Special Council Meeting - January 17, 2023

Residents are advised that a Special Meeting of Council will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. for the purpose of educating and training Council as part of ongoing Council Orientation.

At the meeting, Council will proceed into a closed session, in accordance with the Municipal Act, and participate in training related to the Municipal Code of Conduct, Role of the Integrity Commissioner, and Municipal Conflict of Interest Act.

Special Council Meeting - January 10, 2023 Cancelled

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Special Council Meeting on January 10, 2023 has been cancelled. This Special Council meeting, which is part of Council's ongoing orientation, will be rescheduled and the new date will be publicized accordingly. 

The Council and Committee of the Whole meetings will proceed as scheduled on January 10. The agendas for these meetings are available on the Agendas and Minutes webpage.
