Prescribed Fees for Service - By-law Amendments

At the Committee of the Whole meeting on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, Finance Committee considered a report recommending draft amendments to the Prescribed Fees for Service By-law (By-law 71-2021). These amendments are in regard to curb cutting fees, parking meter fees and taxi fares.

Municipal Election Nomination Period Now Open

The nomination period for the upcoming Municipal Election is now open. Candidate Information Packages are available at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.

To qualify as a candidate, you must be:

• A Canadian citizen;
• At least 18 years old;
• A resident in the Municipality of Port Hope, or;

Hope Street South Closure Notice

Residents are advised that Hope Street South (From Peter Street to Shuter Street) will be closed from Sunday, May 8 to Friday, May 13, 2022 for CN Rail grade crossing maintenance.
