The Municipality of Port Hope, together with the Digital Main Street (DMS) program, are proud to be hosting the Port Hope Business Forum. Scheduled for February 27, 2024, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., this forum aligns with the visionary commitments outlined in the Municipality’s new Economic Development Strategic Plan. Join us at the historic Capitol Theatre for this event, marking a new chapter in the economic narrative of Port Hope.
This event is specifically tailored to business owners and operators in the retail and service sectors within Port Hope. Attendees can expect insightful presentations on crucial topics such as financing, staffing, and optimizing digital storefronts to enhance their business operations. In addition to these presentations, the forum will feature a session highlighting upcoming Municipal economic development efforts and other funding opportunities for businesses.

Over the past 9+ years, the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas’ (TABIA) Digital Main Street program has played a pivotal role in advancing the adoption of digital technologies, driving economic growth, and empowering small businesses to thrive in the digital era.
“Since the beginning, our goal has always been to simply educate and guide businesses through their adoption of digital tools and technologies. We are proud that some 104,000+ businesses have engaged and benefitted from this program across the country, thanks to great local partners like the Municipality of Port Hope,” says John Kiru, Executive Director of TABIA, Founder of Digital Main Street.

This forum will kick off with a hot breakfast, providing attendees with an opportunity to network and connect with fellow business owners. ABOUT Digital Main Street
Digital Main Street is a program that helps main street businesses achieve digital transformation. The program is built around an online learning platform, structured training programs, and our Digital Service Squad, a team of street-level team members who help main street businesses grow and manage their operations through technology.
Digital Main Street was created by the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas with direct support from the City of Toronto. DMS is also supported by a group of strategic business partners, including Google, Mastercard, Shopify, Microsoft, Facebook, Intuit QuickBooks, Square, and Lightspeed.
