Notice of Waterfront Trail Closure - December 15 to 24

Work will be taking place near the A.K. Sculthorpe Woodland Marsh and the barrier beach along portions of Lake Ontario beginning December 15 until December 24. The barrier beach helps protect the Marsh, but it is part of a naturally eroding shoreline. This erosion speeds up during periods of extreme lake levels, creating risks for this sensitive area.

Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services wants to remind residents to take proper fire safety precautions and stay fire safe this holiday season. Always ensure you maintain working smoke alarms and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms in your home. Install alarms on every storey of your home and outside all sleeping areas. Temporary Transit Service Outage - Cobourg Shuttle

Update 12/5/25: The mechanical issue has been resolved and Cobourg service will resume Saturday, December 6 at 9:00 a.m.
The Cobourg Express Shuttle is currently out of service due to a mechanical issue. At this time, we do not have a timeline for when service will resume. In the meantime, the ROLLS van will provide temporary transportation, where possible. However, please note that it can accommodate only two riders at a time.
