The nomination period for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election is now open.
Candidate Information Packages are available at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.
To qualify as a candidate, you must be:
- A Canadian citizen;
- At least 18 years old;
- A resident in the Municipality of Port Hope, or;
- A non-resident of the Municipality of Port Hope and you or your spouse own or rent property in the municipality;
- Not legally prohibited from voting; and

Proposed Removal of Holding Provisions – East Side of County Road 10

Council will be considering removing special “holding” restrictions (H4 and H5) from a vacant property located on the east side of County Road 10 (between Wright Road and Forest Crescent).
