Special Council Meeting – June 2, 2026

A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.
At this meeting, Council will receive a presentation from Watson & Associates Economists Ltd. regarding the Final Consultant Report and Recommendations arising from the Ward Boundary and Council Composition Review. Residents are advised that vactor truck flushing and CCTV camera inspections of the sanitary sewer system will begin on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, and will occur until the end of June 2026. During this time, there will be minor traffic impacts and, for public and staff safety, occasional night work to avoid high traffic volumes.

Residents are advised of the following impacts to service due to the upcoming Victoria Day Holiday.
Administrative building closuresMunicipal administrative buildings will be closed on Monday, May 18, 2026 for the Victoria Day holiday. Services will resume on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at their usual operating hours.

OLT Decision - 2 Fox Road

On April 22, 2026, the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) held a one-day hearing about an appeal related to 2 Fox Road. The appeal was submitted by 1664281 Ontario Inc. and involved four applications to divide the property into four new lots and one retained lot.
