MTO Preliminary Work Underway for Upcoming Bridge Replacement

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has begun preliminary work in advance of a major infrastructure project that includes improvements to the Choate Road and Ganaraska River Bridges.
This extensive project is expected to take place over the next six construction seasons (May to December). Development Team Office Closure – April 8

Residents are advised that the Development Team Office (5 Mill Street South) will be closed to the public on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, to accommodate construction happening in the building.
Transit buses will not be affected by this closure.
Though the building will be closed to the public, staff will be working remotely and will be available by email throughout the day.

Temporary Relocation of Select Ganaraska Child Care Centre (Riverside Site) Services

Due to complications arising from the recent rain and ice storm, the Municipality of Port Hope is supporting the temporary relocation of select services for the Ganaraska Child Care Centre (Riverside Site) to the Town Park Recreation Centre. The Centre, located at 81 Mill Street South, is a municipally owned building.
As a result, some municipal recreation programming has been impacted. Registered program participants affected by these changes will be contacted directly by municipal staff....
