Residents are reminded that municipal administrative buildings, municipal transit services, recreation facilities, the Port Hope Public Library branches, and the Hope Transfer Station will be closed on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 for the Canada Day holiday. All municipal staff services will resume at their usual operating hours on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

Residents are also reminded of the regulations for the sale and use of fireworks. Additionally, a reminder that burn permits are required, with specific conditions, in the Municipality for any controlled burning.
