Canada Day Road Closures and Parking Restrictions
Canada Day is fast approaching and residents are advised of the following impacts to accommodate this year's celebrations.
Road Closures
Residents are advised of the following road closures from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, to accommodate the annual Canada Day parade:
- Ridout/Walton Street (from Toronto Road to Mill Street)
- Queen Street (from Walton Street to Robertson Street)
- Augusta Street (from Queen Street to Elias Street) – closed from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
To accommodate the fireworks display, the following road closures will be in place from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Mill Street South (from Madison Street to 247 metres north of Madison Street)
- King Street (from Madison Street to Shuter Street)
- Madison Street
Parking restrictions
Residents, business owners, customers and visitors are asked to keep the following parade and staging areas clear of vehicles from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to ensure clear viewing for all spectators and safe traveling for all participants:
- Walton Street (from Toronto Road to Queen Street)
- Queen Street (from Walton Street to Robertson Street)
- Augusta Street (from Queen Street to Elias Street)
Please note: Vehicles along the above route, during the designated times, will be removed.
