Canada Day Road Closures and Parking Restrictions
Canada Day is fast approaching and residents are advised of the following impacts to accommodate this year's celebrations.
Road Closures
The parade route has been adjusted this year due to the Walton Street Reconstruction Project. Residents are advised of the following road closures from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, to accommodate the annual Canada Day parade:
- Bramley Street South and North (from Charles Street to Trafalgar Street)
- Ridout/Walton Street (from Victoria Street to Pine Street)
- Pine Street (from Walton Street to Augusta Street)
- Augusta Street (from Queen Street to Elias Street)
To accommodate the pedestrian-friendly activity zone:
- Queen Street (from Walton Street to Robertson Street) – closed from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Augusta Street (from Pine Street to Queen Street) - closed from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
To accommodate the fireworks display, the following road closures will be in place from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Mill Street South (from 95 Mill Street to Madison Street)
- King Street (from Madison Street to Caldwell Street)
- Madison Street
Parking restrictions
Residents, business owners, customers and visitors are asked to keep the following parade and staging areas clear of vehicles from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to ensure clear viewing for all spectators and safe traveling for all participants:
- Ridout/Walton Street (from Victoria Street to Pine Street)
- Pine Street (from Walton Street to Augusta Street)
- Augusta Street (from Queen Street to Elias Street)
- Town Hall Parking Lot (beginning at 6:00 a.m.)
Please note: Vehicles parked along the above route, during the designated times, will be removed.

Filming Activities
Please note that a film crew will be in the downtown core doing set dressing on Tuesday, July 1 for filming on Wednesday, July 2. This set dressing will have minimal impact on the surrounding area. For more information, review our filming notice.
