COVID-19 Arena Update
On Monday, March 8, 2021, Port Hope, along with all of Northumberland County, was moved into the Yellow-Protect Zone of the Provincial COVID Response Framework. As such, Parks, Recreation and Culture staff have reviewed current protocols and updated arena operations.
Spectators permitted for Minor Hockey and Figure Skating
Spectators are now permitted inside the arena, along with accompanying guardians, for minor sports bookings (Minor hockey and figure skating only).
Space is still limited. Please be respectful with the space and limit your visits to necessary attendees only, where possible.
Spectators are not permitted for all other user groups (for example, adult leagues) and Jr. C hockey teams are permitted spectators based on their approved COVID procedures.
Reservations for spectators required
Pre-reservations for all persons are still required and must be completed in advance for each person. Reservations can be made over the phone at 905-885-2474 or online.
Spectator protocols
COVID protocols remain in place for permitted spectators. Please stay in the designated seating area, remain seated in that area for the duration of the timeslot, and promptly exit the facility at the end of the sports activity. Wandering and congregating in the facility at any time is not permitted.
New arena rentals
New rentals are permitted for current regular user groups and pre-established organized associations. Please contact us to book your reservation.
Other programming protocols
All other current COVID measures and restrictions remain in place at this time, including restrictions on spectators for the pool, gymnasium, and community rooms based on facility capacity, layout, and activity types.
