Downtown Street Closures to Accommodate Pride Parade – June 6, 2026
Northumberland Pride is hosting an all-ages event Downtown to celebrate Pride Month in Port Hope. This free event takes place in Memorial Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026. To kick off the event, Northumberland Pride is hosting a parade through the Downtown at 9:30 a.m.
To accommodate the parade, the following road closures will be in effect from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m.:
- Walton Street (from Pine Street to Mill Street)
- Queen Street (from Walton Street to Augusta Street)
- Ontario Street (from Thompson Street to Walton Street) – local traffic only
The road closures will begin at 9:15 a.m. and be taken down immediately following the walk. All parked vehicles inside the closure will be required to remain parked in place until the walk has concluded. Transit Services is aware of this temporary closure, and no impacts are anticipated.
The Pride Parade is a people procession (no vehicles) and is open to all to participate. Bring your friends and family and come out to enjoy a day of community, inclusion, and pride!
