Notice of Voters' List and Voter Assistance Centres

TAKE NOTICE that the list of all persons entitled to be electors for the municipal elections in the Municipality of Port Hope has been prepared by the Office of the Municipal Clerk.

A person may check to see if their name is on the Voters’ List if they have reason to believe their information may be incorrect (for example, they have changed their name or their residence), or if they have recently moved to the Municipality of Port Hope. You may verify and check if you are on the Voters’ List by contacting us by email or calling 905-885-4544 ext.0.

If necessary, a person may make an application to the Clerk requesting that the person’s name be added to or removed from the Voters’ List, or that information on the Voters’ List relating to the person be amended by completing an Application to Amend the Voters’ List (EL15 form), available through porthopevotes.ca or by contacting the Office of the Municipal Clerk. This form shall be filed by the applicant with proof of identity and residence at the following location:

PLEASE ALSO NOTE, the Municipality of Port Hope will offer Voter Assistance Centres (VAC) for those residents that do not have access to a computer, the internet or require assistance casting their ballot electronically, at the following dates and times. An Application to Amend the Voters’ List may also be filed at a Voter Assistance Centre during operating hours, as noted below:

Voter Assistance Centre - Town Hall 

Town Hall is located at 56 Queen Street, Port Hope, ON L1A 3Z9

• October 16 - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
• October 19 to 24 - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • This VAC will be open until 7 p.m. on October 21
• October 26 (Election Day) - 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

Voter Assistance Centre - Port Hope Community Hub

The Community Hub is located at 5325 County Road 10, Port Hope, ON L1A 3V5

• October 21 - 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. 
• October 22 to 24 - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
• October 26 (Election Day) - 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
