7773 Longyear Lane
An application to change the Zoning By-law has been received for the property at 7773 Longyear Lane. The application was submitted by Clark Consulting Services on behalf of Scott and Krystal Longyear and is now considered complete under the Planning Act.
A Public Meeting will be held to consider this application (File: ZB05-2025) on February 10, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at Town Hall (56 Queen Street). The meeting is open to everyone and will also be live-streamed on the Municipality’s YouTube channel for those who do not wish to provide comments.
What is being proposed?
The property is currently zoned and designated for agricultural and environmental uses. At present, there are two houses on the property: the original home, and a newer, detached dwelling.
The applicant is asking the Municipality to:
- recognize the newer house as the main dwelling, and
- allow the original house to remain as an Additional Residential Unit (ARU).
To do this, the applicant is requesting a site-specific zoning change and several adjustments to zoning standards.
