"Name That Snowplow" Returns for a Second Year

Last year, residents helped crown two winning snowplow names, ‘Plowie McPlowFace’ and ‘The Big Leplowski’, which quickly became familiar sights on local roads throughout the winter season. Following an overwhelming response to the inaugural contest, we are once again inviting the community to showcase its creativity, humour, and civic pride by helping name two snowplows for the upcoming winter season.

Labour Day Holiday Closures

A reminder to residents that municipal administrative buildings, the Hope Transfer Station, Transit Services, the Town Park Recreation Centre, the Jack Burger Sports Complex, and the Public Library branches will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026 for the Labour Day Holiday.
All municipal services will resume at their usual business hours on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

The Hydrant Maintenance Program will be underway on weekdays starting September 8 until October 23, 2026. This important upkeep ensures adequate water flow and pressure is available throughout the urban area of the community.
