Fish Sanctuary and Extended Fall Season Update

The Municipality of Port Hope would like to remind the community that, per the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR), the fish sanctuary is in place from September 1 to October 14, from the south side of the Jocelyn Street Bridge to the CNR Bridge (the first rail line north of Lake Ontario). The sanctuary protects vulnerable fish during peak migration to their spawning grounds.

Thanksgiving Holiday Closures

A reminder to residents that municipal administrative buildings, the Hope Transfer Station, Transit Services, the Town Park Recreation Centre, and the Public Library branches will be closed on Monday, October 14, 2024 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
The Jack Burger Sports Complex will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for adult and public swimming.
All municipal services will resume at their usual business hours on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
