Severe Weather Impacts and Emergency Response Delays

The Municipality of Port Hope is experiencing a high volume of calls for emergency response service due to ongoing severe weather conditions. Many roads, particularly in the north end of the Municipality, are inaccessible due to downed trees, hydro lines, and ice-covered surfaces.

Special Council Meeting - April 2, 2025

A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.

Council will proceed into a closed session, in accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O., c.25 in order to consider items pertaining to personal matters about an identifiable individual including municipal or local board employees – Section 239(2)(b) – (CAO Recruitment).

Important Upcoming Dates for the Walton Street Reconstruction (Phase 3)

Last month, the Municipality of Port Hope awarded the contract for the next phase of the Walton Street Reconstruction Project to Behan Construction. Since then, staff have been working with the contractor to determine the construction schedule.
