Our 'Movies in the Park' movie series is back this year in Memorial Park. Relax under the stars with family, friends and neighbours. All movies begin at dusk. Rain location is the Fall Fair Centre (62 McCaul Street). Follow along on our Facebook event page for these updates and reminders.

Filming Activities – June 21

Reaper’s Image Productions is expected back in Port Hope next week to film more scenes for “Fairview” on June 21, 2024. Filming will be taking place in the area of the municipal Development Team Office (5 Mill Street South) and at a private residence on Bruton Street.
Set dressing will be taking place on Mill Street South on June 19 and 20 and takedown will occur on June 24 and 25. These activities will require the temporary occupation of sidewalks on Mill Street. The production is expected to...
Heat Warning

Residents are advised that Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the area. Daytime highs through much of the week are expected to be 30 to 35 degrees Celsius with humidex values of 40 to 45.
A heat warning is issued when the daytime temperature is forecast to be 31°C or higher, with a minimum daytime low of 20°C or higher, for two consecutive days. A heat warning can also be issued when the humidex is forecast to be 40°C or higher for two consecutive days.

Water Meter Upgrade Program Underway

The Municipality of Port Hope has contracted Neptune Technology Group to upgrade water meters in the community. This is a mandatory program in accordance with By-law 66/2023. Currently, this program is servicing all businesses in Port Hope (large and small), including apartments, industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities.
The upgrade procedure is completely free and only requires an average of 30 to 90 minutes to complete, depending on the condition and complexity of the plumbing. The...
