The Municipality of Port Hope is advising all residents to prepare for the Special Weather Statement issued by the Government of Canada. The following details outline what to expect and how to stay safe:

Important Upcoming Dates for the Walton Street Reconstruction (Phase 3)

Last month, the Municipality of Port Hope awarded the contract for the next phase of the Walton Street Reconstruction Project to Behan Construction. Since then, staff have been working with the contractor to determine the construction schedule. The focus for this final phase is to replace Walton Street infrastructure from just west of Cavan Street to Pine Street.

Filming Downtown – March 24, 2025

Residents are advised that a small film crew will be in the downtown area on Monday, March 24, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. to shoot scenes for an upcoming holiday movie, “Once Upon a Christmas Crown”.
Filming will occur inside and outside of 57 Walton Street (G Facey Clothing) and on the sidewalk in front of 8 – 12 Queen Street. Set dressing and take-down will occur on the same day of shooting and will involve fake snow and Christmas decorations.

Please be advised that the Public Information Centre for the Walton Street Reconstruction Project (Phase 3) will be held on March 25, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall (56 Queen Street) in the Council Chambers.
