Please be advised that a temporary shutdown of water will be conducted on Wednesday, April 23 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. as part of the Walton Street Reconstruction. The affected buildings are located on:
- Walton Street (from Pine Street to Thomas Street)
- Pine Street (from Bedford Street to Gifford Street)
- Gifford Street (from Thomas Street to Pine Street)
- Ross Street
- Hill Street South
- Hagerman Street

A Special Council Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 56 Queen Street, Port Hope.

Statement on the Rose Glen Road Industrial Fire

On April 9, 2025, a fire broke out at an industrial chemical plant in our community. It was a high-risk situation that required an extensive and coordinated response. All three fire stations in our Municipality were deployed, which included 14 apparatus and over 40 of our firefighters to contain and suppress the blaze, preventing what could have been a far more serious incident.

MTO Preliminary Work Underway for Upcoming Bridge Replacement

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has begun preliminary work in advance of a major infrastructure project that includes improvements to the Choate Road and Ganaraska River Bridges.
This extensive project is expected to take place over the next six construction seasons (May to December).
