Closure Notice: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The Municipality of Port Hope will be observing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30.
The following buildings and services will be closed on Tuesday, September 30, 2025:
- Town Hall
- Fire Administration Office
- Development Team Office
- Water Treatment Plant
- Wastewater Treatment Plant
- Joint Operation Centre
- Rural Works Yard
- Port Hope Public Library
- Transit routes A, B and C

Temporary Transit Changes for Two-Week Walton Street Closure

With the upcoming two-week closure of Walton Street from September 22 to October 4, Transit Services will be implementing route changes beginning Monday, September 22.
To ensure continued transit service, we have arranged for modified transit routes during this period. Please take note of the following changes:
Route A:- Depart Town Hall and proceed north on Mill Street South to Barrett Street
- Turn south on Cavan Street, to South Street
- North on Pine to Bruton Street
- South on Julia Street and return...

This communication is being re-issued as a reminder of the Express Cobourg Shuttle service disruption taking place on October 8 and 9, 2025.

Please be advised that the Express Cobourg Shuttle will be temporarily out of service on October 8 and 9, 2025, while staff complete training. Transit Route A, B and Rolls will operate as usual.

The annual Port Hope Fair is back from September 11 to 14, 2025. Residents are reminded of the following impacts:
