Transit Update - Cobourg Shuttle Transit Outage Continues

The Cobourg Express Shuttle continues to be temporarily out of service due to a mechanical issue.

We recognize the inconvenience caused by this service disruptions and thank our residents and transit users for their patience and understanding.

Cavan/Walton Street Intersection Closure - September 3, 2025

The intersection of Cavan Street and Walton Street will be closed on Wednesday, September 3, as part of the Walton Street Reconstruction project. This temporary closure is necessary to safely complete patching and paving work in the area where the watermain connection was made last month.

To safely carry out the work, the following road closures will be in effect beginning at 7:00 a.m. The road will re-open as soon as the work is complete:

Temporary Road Closure and Transit Detour – Cavan and Walton Street Intersection

As part of the ongoing Walton Street Reconstruction Project, crews will be working at the intersection of Cavan Street and Walton Street on Thursday, August 7, 2025, which will include some additional road closures and a limited water shut off.

This milestone marks the final connection required to complete the upgraded water system in Phase 3 of the Project.

Bus Stop Changes to Route B and C

Beginning Wednesday, July 16, 2025, minor route and bus stop adjustments will be implemented to Routes B and C. These changes are being introduced in response to resident feedback and to help improve overall service efficiency. Please be advised of the following changes:

• Bus stop B26 will now be stop C8 and will be serviced by the C Route
• Bus stop B26 will now be moved to the north side of Shuter Street
  • Bus Route B will depart the Food Basics stop (B25) and travel south on Hope Street to Shuter...

As construction steadily progresses westward along Walton Street, crews are encountering space limitations that are affecting the safe and efficient movement of materials and equipment.
