A reminder that the Port Hope Arts Festival is this Saturday, August 9, throughout Downtown. Residents are advised of the following impacts to accommodate this year’s festival:
Road Closures
- Augusta Street (from Queen Street to Elias Street) will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to accommodate the outdoor vendor market.
- Queen Street (from Walton Street to Augusta Street) will be closed from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. to accommodate an outdoor street concert.
Parking Lot Closures
The parking lot at Town Hall will also be closed to accommodate the Port Hope Farmers Market.
Transit Impacts
Transit Services will avoid Augusta Street when travelling to the Transit Transfer Hub at Town Hall. No stops will be affected by this road closure. A reminder that transit is also free during the Walton Street Reconstruction - it is a great way to get Downtown during this event.
Parking
- Overflow parking will be available at the corner of Queen and Robertson Streets and at 95 Mill Street South.
- Consider taking public transit or carpooling with a friend to get downtown.
