Burn Ban Lifted – Wednesday, August 27
Based on significant rainfall, cooler temperatures and more rain in the forecast, the County-wide Open-Air Burn Ban has been lifted in Northumberland County, effective immediately.
Residents are reminded to follow the open-air burning By-laws and to always use extreme caution when performing open air burns. For more information on our Burn Permits visit porthope.ca/burn-permits.
Failure to comply with the open-air burning By-law may result in fines and/or charges under the Ontario Fire Code and Municipal By-Laws.
Residents are asked to remain vigilant, report any signs of fire immediately, and do their part to help prevent the spread of fire. Your cooperation and understanding are appreciated as we work together to protect our community.
