Election Results to be Posted on Social Media, Online and Announced In-person at the Capitol Theatre

Monday, October 19, 2026 - Port Hope, ON

Voting closes at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2026 for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election. Unofficial results are anticipated to be announced after 8:30 p.m. on election night and will be posted simultaneously on: the Municipality’s website, Facebook and Instagram pages, and announced in-person at the Capitol Theatre.

Election results will be announced in-person at the Capitol Theatre.

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. Following the close of voting and verification of results, the results will be projected on the stage screen and announced by the Clerk. It is anticipated that this will take place after 8:30 p.m.

Attendance at the in-person announcement is not required. Election results will be posted online and through the Municipality’s social media channels at the same time they are announced at the Capitol Theatre.

Important Information

A reminder that Town Hall is being used as a Voter Assistance Centre until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. As such, the election results will not be announced at Town Hall. The voting period remains open until 8:00 p.m. on October 26, 2026.
