Help Shape the Future of Parks and Trails in Port Hope
We are taking an important step toward enhancing our parks, open spaces, and trails by developing a new Parks and Trails Plan, and we want to hear from you!
Building on the 2021 Leisure Services Master Plan, this update will reflect current community needs and future growth to ensure residents continue to enjoy safe, accessible, and welcoming outdoor spaces. As Port Hope grows and evolves, this Plan will help guide how we improve and expand these important community assets. It will identify gaps in services, explore opportunities for new and upgraded spaces, and establish a clear, sustainable roadmap for future investments.
We invite residents, community groups, and stakeholders to share their feedback and ideas to help shape this Plan. There are several ways to participate:
In-Person Open House
Join us to learn more about the project, meet the project team, and share your thoughts in-person on July 6 at the Jack Burger Sports Complex from 6 to 8 p.m.
Interactive In-Person Activities (Registration Required)
- A storytelling walk on July 8 to share experiences and ideas within local park spaces.
- A community mapping exercise on July 9 to highlight priorities and opportunities.
Virtual Survey
If you can’t attend one of our in-person sessions, please use our virtual survey to provide your input.
Your input will directly inform priorities, improvements, and long-term planning for Port Hope’s parks and trails system. By sharing your perspectives, you’ll help ensure these spaces continue to meet the needs of current and future residents.
