Northumberland Scottish Festival and Highland Games Parking
The Northumberland Scottish Festival and Highland Games return to Port Hope this weekend. Please be aware of increased traffic, pedestrians, and pipe band members in the area surrounding the Town Park Recreation Centre.
Parking impacts
To alleviate traffic congestion and maintain a safe emergency access route, parking will be restricted from Friday, June 20 (4:00 p.m.) to Saturday, June 21 (11:00 p.m.) on the following streets:
- West side of Elgin Street (from College Street to Francis Street)
- West side of Deblaquire Street South (from Francis Street to McCaul Street)
- Both sides of Francis Street (from Hope Street to the dead-end)
- All existing no-parking restrictions already in place must also be observed.
Parking alternatives
There will be parking spaces available at the event grounds on a first come, first served basis, including spaces in the lower fields with access via Francis Street.
Municipal Transit is also free and operating during this event. For hours of operation and routes, visit porthope.ca/transit.
