Please be advised that all Council and Committee of the Whole meetings will continue to be held virtually throughout the month of October.
This temporary measure is necessary due to unexpected delays in receiving key materials for the new audio-visual (AV) system installation in Council Chambers. These delays are the result of border and tariff issues, which are circumstances beyond our control. While the upgrades were originally anticipated to be complete by early October, installation is now expected to take an additional three weeks.
We recognize that this news may be frustrating, and we share in that frustration. Please know that our team remains committed to ensuring Council meetings are accessible, transparent, and open to public participation.
The virtual meeting format has been working effectively and continues to allow residents to view and fully participate in meetings. This arrangement will remain in place until the new AV system is fully installed and operational.
We thank residents for their patience, understanding, and grace as we work through these temporary delays. Our goal is to deliver an improved in-person meeting experience as soon as possible.
