Pump Track Project Update
The Municipality of Port Hope is pleased to provide an update on the development of the Pump Track at the Town Park Recreation Centre.
Following community consultation earlier this year, the project team made several modifications to the original design. The most recent design can be viewed on our Engage Port Hope webpage.
Current and upcoming construction activities:
- Removal of the basketball net and the relocation of the shade shelter is complete.
- Week of September 2: Asphalt removal, drainage culvert installation, and construction fencing placement.
- September 8 to 14: Construction pause during the Port Hope Fall Fair.
- Mid-September: Construction resumes following the Fair.
- Early October: Pump track paving scheduled for completion.
- By November 1: Landscaping, seating, and signage to be finalized.
During construction, the two parking spaces closest to the bins will be used for staging, and there may be temporary impacts to the east side of the parking lot. Our bins will also be temporarily relocated.
This project is made possible with the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
